In the morning, Amy stretched as she opened her eyes. She ran her fingers through her hair, and gently massaged her head. She was feeling a bit muzzy headed, so pushed herself out of bed to go and find herself a glass of water. As she ran the tap, the cascading water sounded loud in the quiet of her flat, and it was somehow also soothing. Getting back into bed, Amy laid her head gently back on the pillows. Her mind wandered back to the previous night. It had been such a wonderful evening, but what had she done? Well, she could blame it on the wine, of course. But she knew full well she wasn’t that drunk, just a bit tipsy, maybe. She had nearly kissed Laurel that time in the hallway, so perhaps it was just a matter of time. As far as Laurel was concerned, though, she would blame it on the alcohol.
